In an official statement, Spotify explains that its hoping Line-In can help improve experiences for both listeners and artists. Some of the data listeners are invited to make suggestions for include: explicitness, genre, aliases, languages, mood, tags, artist roles and external URLs.

“All desktop Spotify users can access the Line-In tool by clicking the three dots next to an Artist, Album, or Song and selecting Suggest an Edit,” the streaming service explains.

They also clarify, though, that Line-In is a work-in-progress, and they'll be adding additional features over time.
