A Solo: A Star Wars Story writer talked to Huffington Post about Lando Calrissian's possible sexual fluidity.

In the movie, Donald Glover's character in Star Wars has shown interest in men, women and droids. Does that mean he's pansexual?

“I would say yes,” Jonathan Kasdan told Huffington Post. “There’s a fluidity to Donald and Billy Dee’s [portrayal of Lando’s] sexuality.”

“I mean, I would have loved to have gotten a more explicitly LGBT character into this movie,” the writer continued. “I think it’s time, certainly, for that, and I love the fluidity―sort of the spectrum of sexuality that Donald appeals to and that droids are a part of.”

Recently, it was announced another Star Wars character is getting his own solo movie.

The Star Wars franchise will be giving Obi-Wan Kenobi his own movie, and it looks as though it will be a prequel to A New Hope.

The spinoff is reportedly going to be titled Obi-Wan: A Star Wars Story, but will have the working titled of “Joshua Tree,” until it’s done shooting in London. Per the report, the film will officially begin production next spring at the same location the Last Jedi was shot at.

We also know that the upcoming film will supposedly be directed by Stephen Daldry. Given Daldry’s prior works, including the Hours and the Crown, an Obi-Wan movie doesn’t seem completely out of the realm of possibilities.

Of course, we have to keep in mind that the film hasn’t officially been confirmed by the Star Wars franchise or Disney. While nothing is in the works officially, we can still keep our fingers crossed that Obi-Wan will get his own film.

Be sure to catch the next Star Wars film, Solo: A Star Wars Story when it hits theaters May 25, and Episode IX on Dec. 20, 2019.
