We still have 11 months until Star Wars: Episode VIII (not that anyone's counting) but we now know officially what the name of the next Star Wars film will be.

Disney announced in a press release today that the eighth Star Wars film will be titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The film, written and directed by Rian Johnson, will be released on December 15.

One thing that is catching a lot of people's attention is the new logo for the film which features the Star Wars logo in a dark red instead of the typical yellow that's been used beforehand.

Daisy Ridley teased that we might just get to find out the identity of Rey's parents back in October.

Some of your favorite bands reacted to the news of the title as well, check out some of our favorites below!

Telle Smith (The Word Alive)

Teddy Horansky (Sleep On It)

Carter Hardin (Chapel)

 Joe Trohman (Fall Out Boy)

With 12 months of speculation ahead of us, we all have one big question our mind. Is the last Jedi, Rey or Luke? Tell us what you think in the comments!
