State Champs question H&M after fan spots uncanny shirt design
If you release a shirt with a logo and color scheme easily recognizable by pop-punk fans, then you better prepare to be noticed by State Champs. A few fans have taken to Twitter to share an H&M design that they believe may have gone over the line, leading some to believe the retailer had started selling Champs merch.

The H&M shirt features that familiar gold and black color scheme with a logo you could recognize with your eyes closed.
However, instead of using the words “STATE CHAMPS,” the retailer has “State World Citizen” written across the globe logo.
State World Citizens of what?
Yo, @hm, what the fuck… https://t.co/RvraeLPhlW

Fans were quickly elevated by this great mistake, believing H&M to be downright criminal in their not-so-subtle design.
Damn this is a straight copy @hm

Trophy Eyes didn’t stick to the sidelines in this debate either, sharing a photo of the shirt with “Yo @hm, I fucking love this band!”

One fan offered a quick remedy to the matter.
Should we as fans just tape a piece of paper on the rack saying “Ripped off from State Champs, go listen to them on Apple Music or Sportify!” ? that way they make some money off of it ??♀️
