This pop punk proposal will melt your cold heart of stone

Before State Champs’ show in Albany, New York last evening, this adorable couple got engaged at the same location depicted on the cover of The Finer Things.

The couple had flown from Michigan to see State Champs perform The Finer Things in-full. However, the special night was only made complete when Damon Plasencia asked his partner, Andrea LaPonsie to marry him.

Following “the big question,” the pair then shared a photo of their beautiful moment on Twitter.

“hey @State_Champs we flew here for the show tonight from michigan and went to see where the album cover was taken and this happened,” LaPonsie says in a tweet. “can’t wait for the show tonight.”

To make matters even better, the band shared their thoughts on the super-cute proposal by adding a few words of their own.

“HOLY SHIT! Congratulations x 10000,” the band say. “This is extremely cute. See you lovebirds tonight.”

The photo for the album cover was taken on an Albany, New York street. The location has become a pop-punk equivalent to Abbey Road. With that being said, many others shared their own recreations of the album cover on social media.

The band played three special holiday shows celebrating the fifth anniversary of The Finer Things. The final show dedicated to that record was last evening.

Additionally, the band recently announced a tour with Our Last Night, the Dangerous Summer and Greyscale. Check out a full list of dates below and secure your tickets here.
