Stephenie Meyer seeking amateur filmmakers for new ‘Twilight’ short films

If you’ve ever wanted to make your own Twilight film, this is your chance. Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has launched “The Storytellers—New Voices of The Twilight Saga,” a new contest for women filmmakers.

The competition will ask women to create 5-10 minute short films that explore the origin stories of the characters from the Twilight franchise. Kristen Stewart, Octavia Spencer, “Frozen” co-director Jennifer Lee and more will be judging the Twilight short films. Read more about the contest below, and watch a trailer with Kristen Stewart.

Lionsgate, Women In Film, Facebook, Volvo Cars, and author of the Twilight books Stephenie Meyer are thrilled to present a truly unique opportunity: the chance to create Short Films set in the Twilight universe. Exploring the origin stories of characters from the Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, these Short Films will be set in the dynamic world of Twilight. Don’t be afraid to let your imagination run wild. Our hope is to see a variety of styles, genres and interpretations.
