Stevie Nicks calls Harry Styles her “love child,” “the son she never had”

Ethereal goddess Stevie Nicks has recently opened up about her admiration for ex-One Direction member Harry Styles. However, her thoughts on Styles go beyond average respect. In fact, Nicks says that he is more like “the son she never had.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Nicks was asked about Styles’ cover of Fleetwood Mac banger, “The Chain.” However, Nicks didn’t address the cover straight away.

“He’s Mick [Fleetwood]’s and my love child,” Nicks says. “When Harry came into our lives, I said, ‘Oh my God, this is the son I never had.’ So I adopted him. I love Harry, and I’m so happy Harry made a rock & roll record — he could have made a pop record and that would have been the easy way for him. But I guess he decided he wanted to be born in 1948, too — he made a record that was more like 1975.”

Additionally, for comparison purposes, you can listen to the original as well.

In the rest of the interview, Nicks says she also has a similar relationship with Vanessa Carlton. While of course they are not actually related, Nicks describes her as a younger sister.

Additionally, Nicks also mentions Natalie Maines, LeAnn Rimes and Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum for whom she feels similarly.

While Harry Styles covered “The Chain” back in 2017, he also recently honored Kurt Cobain by covering “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” While in Tokyo, Styles joined a band to cover the song.
