Stevie Nicks eyes Harry Styles for starring role in her new TV series

Stevie Nicks and Harry Styles have become one of music’s most interesting duos. From Styles presenting awards to Nicks to the duo performing together onstage, the two musicians have established a growing friendship over the years.

Now, it looks like Nicks has big plans for Styles. Nicks has signed on to adapt Fleetwood Mac‘s “Rhiannon” for a TV miniseries and she wants Styles to star in it.

Nicks first wrote “Rhiannon” back in 1973. Over the years, the song has continued to grow in popularity and is now the inspiration for Nicks’ new TV series.

Nicks has always felt a connection to the spiritual world. So much so that she knew she wanted to make a film about the mythological Celtic deity Rhiannon which “Rhiannon” is based on.

According to the LA Times, Nicks initially planned to adapt the song into a film. However, because of the scope of the story, the project turned into a TV miniseries. She also has 10 unreleased songs set aside for this project. The recordings are still on cassette tapes and hidden away in a suitcase.

The project is clearly a massive undertaking, but Nicks already knows who she wants to star in the new series. She tells the LA Times that Styles is “is definitely in the running.”

“I’m going, ‘Harry, you cannot age one day. You have to stay exactly as you are,’” she says. “I’ve already sold him on it.”

Although Nicks has acted in American Horror Story, she shares that she has no plans to play a major role in the miniseries. However, she’s not opposed to the idea of her “riding by on a white horse or something.”

Styles first made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan‘s critically-acclaimed 2017 film Dunkirk. Then, in September, it was confirmed that he is returning to the big screen for Olivia Wilde‘s Don’t Worry, Darling. The psychological thriller also stars Florence Pugh (MidsommarBlack Widow), Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey) and Chris Pine (Wonder WomanStar Trek).

As well, there are also rumors that Styles may appear in Avengers: Eternals as Thanos‘ brother Starfox. At this time, however, these reports have not been confirmed.

As we wait for Styles to hopefully sign on for Nicks’ miniseries, you can watch the duo perform “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” together below.
