Porn star Stormy Daniels rose to mainstream recognition thanks to a scandal with President Trump. While we all know way too much about the alleged affair, not much is known about Daniels (aka Stephanie Clifford)—until now.
In an interview with All That Shreds, Clifford reveals she’s a major metal fan. Discussing her new book Full Disclosure, she delves into her experiences with metal bands such as Pantera. Clifford was dancing at a Florida club where she met the band as they celebrated their guitar tech’s birthday.
Clifford reveals Pantera are her second favorite band next to Slipknot, so she brought the tech onstage. This sparked a friendship to the point where Clifford was certainly comfortable around the band.
“This started an ongoing friendship with Pantera, and I spent a couple of weeks with them on tour,” she says. “I had sex with a hot redhead under the drum riser as Vinnie [Paul] was playing.”
Paul died at the age of 54 in June. An initial cause of death wasn’t known as revealed through his family’s statement. It read that he died in his sleep at his Las Vegas home. His body was turned over to the medical examiner to determine the cause of death; he would then be buried in his home state of Texas between his mother and brother.
Paul’s death was later revealed to be caused by severe coronary artery disease, and Clifford was certainly affected by the drummer’s death.
“It was sad when Vinnie Paul passed away as I was finishing the chapter in my book about Pantera,” she says. “We’ve been friends for so long, and it was pretty hard.”
With favorites such as Pantera and Slipknot, it’s no surprise Clifford only dances to metal. However, the actress also keeps it local.
“I remember going out [in] high school and going to local metal shows that were in the middle of cow pastures—like going out to like local metal chairs out in like in the middle of cow pastures,” she says. “Some of my favorite bands to this day are local bands from Louisiana that aren’t around anymore.”
As far as what her first concert was, 17-year-old Clifford headed to Metallica alone.
“Metallica was playing on a weeknight,” she explains. ”Nobody would go with me because their parents wouldn’t let them. Keep in mind this is before GPS, so I got a map and drove myself.
“I changed in the parking lot as it wasn’t something you should wear in public,” she continues. “I went in, and it was general admission, and I was right up against the barricade in front of the stage for a kick-ass concert.”
In addition to detailing her life in a book, Clifford has ventured out into the world of directing music videos. Having already done this on more than 100 adult films, she is now taking her talents to direct Red Tide Rising and Granny 4 Barrell (“She Likes Guns”), the latter of which you can see below.
