Burger King enters the Upside Down with ‘Stranger Things’ Whopper

The Stranger Things collaborations are seemingly never-ending, with the Netflix show working with H&M, Nike and now apparently Burger King on products to promote the third season.

However, it’s hitting the fast-food industry in a way that’s a little bit turned on its head.

Stranger Things has teamed up with Burger King to serve Whoppers in its ‘80s style packaging and will dub it the “Upside-Down Whopper.” And, oh yeah, they’re actually selling it turned upside down.

The restaurant also changed their Twitter name to “Stranger King” and their avi to be of an upside-down sandwich.

Along with the promotion, Burger King is running a sweepstakes in partnership with Coca Cola where winners might receive $25,000, a new car or trips. You can find out more in the commercial they put out for the contest below.

The upside-down burgers will start being sold at Burger King locations on June 21.

Stranger Things season three hits Netflix July 4. You can watch the trailer below.

As previously stated, the show just announced a collab with Nike.

Earlier this week, Nike shared a cryptic tweet with a video and a phone number that seemed suspicious.

“We acknowledge that several shipments from 1985 have gone missing. Please call 1.800.561.1985 with any info,” it reads.

And then Nike unveiled that an entire Stranger Things collection was the “shipment.”

Nike is releasing the collab in a series of two drops. The first drop is the “Hawkins High” pack that uses the school’s green and orange scheme. There are ‘80s sweat suits and T-shirts, as well as three styles of sneakers. This will drop June 27.

The second drop is the “OG Pack” set to release July 1. It’s a red-white and blue scheme in celebration of 1985 Independence Day, the day the new season drops. You can see images of the full collection below.

Also, H&M has dropped a collab of ‘80s inspired pool wear with the show. The collection gives us serious throwback summer vibes, with some bathing suits, lifeguard-inspired gear and stuff to show your Hawkins pride. Check out the full collection, with prices, here.
