‘Stranger Things’ star reveals “spoiler” during MTV Awards, Twitter reacts

The Stranger Things kids hit the MTV Movie and TV Awards stage to give the award for Breakthrough Performance.

Noah Centineo from Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before took home the award, but we were a little more concerned with what happened before they handed it out.

Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and Noah Schnapp took the stage to give out the award, and Matarazzo said “spoiler alert” before announcing what award they were giving out.

His co-stars assured him he wasn’t giving out any spoilers and that he could relax.

“Good now I won’t tell everyone Dustin dies,” he said before the other two grabbed him.

Many fans obviously had a lot to say about Matarazzo’s potential spoiler.

It seems like a joke, especially since the actor just signed onto a prank show. However, if Dustin does die this season, fans will definitely revolt.

Stranger Things season three hits Netflix July 4. You can watch the trailer below.

The MTV Movie and TV Awards kicked off tonight on MTV at 9 p.m. EST with host Zachary Levi. You can see the full list of winners here.

More Stranger Things news

The Stranger Things collaborations are seemingly never-ending, with the Netflix show working with H&M, Nike and now apparently Burger King on products to promote the third season.

However, it’s hitting the fast-food industry in a way that’s a little bit turned on its head.

Stranger Things has teamed up with Burger King to serve Whoppers in its ‘80s style packaging and will dub it the “Upside-Down Whopper.” And, oh yeah, they’re actually selling it turned upside down.

The restaurant also changed their Twitter name to “Stranger King” and their avi to be of an upside-down sandwich.

Along with the promotion, Burger King is running a sweepstakes in partnership with Coca Cola where winners might receive $25,000, a new car or trips.

The upside-down burgers will start being sold at Burger King locations on June 21.
