Sum 41 go back in time for “A Death In The Family” video

Sum 41 unleashed the second single, “A Death In The Family,” from their upcoming album.

The new track features the band rocking out in a concept video, switching between 1969 and 2019.

“A Death In The Family” follows the first Sum 41 track in three years, “Out For Blood,” which dropped in April. The track marked their first new music since 2016 full-length 13 Voices. Shortly after, the band dropped the “Out For Blood” video and the news of their next full-length.

Both tracks appear on upcoming seventh full-length album, Order In Decline, which drops July 19 via Hopeless Records. Check out the “A Death In The Family” below.

More on Sum 41

As mentioned, Order In Decline, will be dropping next month. The forthcoming album is described as “undoubtedly Sum 41’s heaviest and most aggressive album to date, while also being their most dynamic and raw.”

The album’s lyrics are said to serve as a reflection on extremely personal and vulnerable events around the world.

“The last thing I wanted to do was write a social or political protest record, and Order In Decline is not that,” vocalist Deryck Whibley explains. “It’s also very hard not to have feelings about everything that’s going on in the world.”
