Sum 41 honor Metallica with 5-minute medley jam session

Sum 41 recently performed a five-minute medley of Metallica songs at the SiriusXM studios.

The medley consists of songs such as “For Whom The Bell Tolls,” “Enter Sandman” and “Master Of Puppets.”

The band has showed their love for Metallica back in 2017, when frontman Deryck Whibley talked about how much he loved their music.

“They just have such great melodies, even though they’re tough and they’re hard and heavy. They’re like the Beatles of metal; they write really catchy songs,” he during the interview with No Future.

Sum 41 recently played an unexpected show in Ohio after  Rockstar Disrupt Festival quietly canceled their upcoming stop in Columbus three days out.

“The @Rockstardisrupt date in Thornville, OH on Sat 7/13 has been canceled,” the band tweeted. “But we’re not taking the day off. We want to play! We’ve just added a show at Newport Music Hall in Columbus on Sat 7/13. Tickets go on sale today at 5pm et.”

Back in June, Sum 41 dropped  their fourth single, “45 (A Matter Of Time),” along with a politically charged music video that perfectly captures the song’s message.

Taken from the band’s upcoming record, Order In Decline, this track upholds an honest political statement from frontman Deryck Whibley, expressing his beliefs on the aftermath of the latest presidential election and the current state of the world.

The band portray the power of propaganda in the video while also alluding to America’s current political climate.
