Super Whatevr's Twitter reactivated following account suspension
Good news, it looks as though Super Whatevr (finally) got their Twitter account back, and all is right in the world!
For those who aren’t aware, on Dec. 30, the band had the misfortune of receiving a ban from Twitter for the most unexpected, and wholesome, reason we’ve ever heard: they just wanted to put their “band birthday” on their account.

As it was noted in the past article, the band got locked out of their account after frontman Skyler McKee tried to add their band birthday to their account, because, as he shared, it “sounded like an adorable thing to do.”
And honestly, we agree with you Sky.
Unfortunately for Super Whatevr fans and the band’s frontman, Twitter didn’t take too kindly to this adorable idea.
You see, Twitter has a pretty strict policy when it comes to the age of its users, and according to platform’s terms of service, users must be at least 13 years of age in order to be able to make an account.
This rule meant that Super Whatevr didn’t meet the age requirement, thus causing the ban.
Luckily, the band’s frontman shared details of the event on his personal account…and honestly, it’s probably the best Twitter thread we’ve seen in a while.
Since the ban from Twitter, McKee has kept fans up-to-date on the latest news from his own personal account.
But, it appears that McKee no longer has to go by “Temporary Super Whatevr” on his personal account, as the band got their Twitter account back!!
This new piece of information was revealed on the band’s account earlier today, where they simply tweeted out “oh. my. god.”
oh. my. god.

Following that, McKee commented on the post with a “WE BACK BABY” and a thank you to Twitter’s Support page for making the band’s return possible.

The best news of all? The band got their birthday added to their account…well, kind of.
As a later tweet revealed, Super Whatevr was not only able to get their account reactivated but they were also able to get a birthday on the page too…it’s just McKee’s birthday rather than the band’s birthday (so it’s not exactly what the frontman was going for, but, uh, at least there’s a birthday on there.)
my bday is on the page now too.
AUGUST 6th 1993. have fun with that info

In any case, the band’s back (!) and they have goals for their return…so maybe help them out with it:
now that i’m back,
let’s see how many people we can get to follow this account.

We’re beyond excited for the band’s return to social media (not that we had any doubts they would come back! If the Maine and Awsten Knight could do it, we knew they could too.)
In other Super Whatevr-related news, the band recently got announced as support for Set It Off‘s U.S. leg of their midnight World Tour. Also joining the two bands is With Confidence.
