The end of an era — Supernatural has revealed that its 15th season of the show will be its final.
Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean in the show, posted a video on Instagram making the announcement alongside co-stars Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Misha Collins (Castiel).
“Though we’re very very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last,” Ackles said. “Fifteen years of a show that changed my life. I know it changed these two guys’ (lives).”
Ackles added that he wanted fans to hear it from the stars themselves.
“We love you guys and this family is not going anywhere,” Collins said.

Not gonna lie — I’ve been bitter at times, critical, and frustrated. However, at the end of the day, I have always loved and will continue to love #Supernatural, and I’ll miss the hell out of it when it’s gone.

Supernatural is the VERY FIRST fandom I joined and I didn’t even join any other fandom or loved a show more dearly than THIS show, not even closely devoted to any other fandom as much as Im devoted to spn .. ……and the crisis is real…
