The news was revealed via the Taco Bell Twitter and a blog post on the fast-food chain’s website.

“Have you ever had that moment (or several moments, no judgment) where you just want to chop all your hair off, buy new clothes and get a fresh, new start? Well, we kind of did a thing,” the blog post says.

“With fall on the horizon, we thought this would be a great moment for us to kick off the new season in style. Beginning September 12th, 2019, we’re revamping our menu. Are you ready for this glo-up?”

The menu changes involve the removal of nine items while updating the combo options.

“Look, we get it,” the Taco Bell blog adds. “We all have our go-to order and change can be hard. But sometimes it’s good to get outside of your comfort zone and spice things up a bit. So the next time you go to Taco Bell®, we hope it’s easier for you to find something new. If not, just close your eyes and say, ‘give me whatever a Combo #5 is now.’”

The items being removed from the menu include:

  • Beefy Mini Quesadilla
  • Chips & Salsa
  • Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller
  • Double Decker® Taco
  • Cool Ranch & Fiery Doritos® Locos Tacos
  • Double Tostada
  • Power Menu Burrito
  • XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

Fortunately, it looks like there may be a slight loophole regarding these changes as All-American Rejects guitarist Mike Kennerty points out.

The menu is slated to change September 12. You can view the updated combo options here.
