Target is turning shopping carts into Mario karts

“Let's-a go!” To celebrate the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch on April 28, 650 Target stores across the U.S. will be getting an insanely awesome Mario Kart makeover.

If you've always dreamed of driving your own kart, the store's shopping carts will transform into Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach's karts—the first time the store has ever decorated its carts. The infamous red spheres out front will get overlaid with images of Mario and Luigi too.

Plus, Target also announced, “the carts aren't the only way that Target is incorporating Mario. In fact, the entire store will get be in full-on Mario mode, with a checkered starting and finishing line at the entrance, decorations like a hanging lakitu and bright flashing lights, and fun video game-inspired music.”

We seriously cannot wait to see all the cosplayers who won't miss this perfect picture opportunity. 

The transformation started Thursday, April 20, and is only around for a few weeks so head to Target now to see if your store is participating!
