We were pretty bummed to find out Donald Glover's animated Deadpool series was canceled and we're still trying to understand why the show isn't happening.

While the actor refuted notions he was “too busy” for the project, new reports are hinting a Taylor Swift-centric episode might be the reason for the cancellation.

Stephen Glover, who was co-creating the show with his brother, wrote the show had a Taylor Swift episode, which might have influenced the decision for the show to be canceled, reports The Wrap.

“There really was a Taylor Swift episode,” Glover wrote, according to the website. “It was HILARIOUS. And it definitely was the last straw lol.”

Last week, FX released a statement explaining Donald and Stephen Glover exited the production of Marvel's 10-episode animated TV series.

“Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s Deadpool animated series,” FX said in a statement. “FX will no longer be involved with the project.”

Per Billboard, FX and Glover backed out of the in-the-works series over creative issues with Marvel, but the Atlanta creator and Childish Gambino said, in a series of now deleted Tweets, it wasn't because he was “too busy to work on [it].”

If you're still wondering what the show would have looked like, some test footage of the series was leaked. Watch it below:
