Ted Bundy film featuring Metallica frontman gets release date
The Ted Bundy thriller, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile finally has a release date. The film will premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
According to Consequence Of Sound, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will hit the Utah film festival’s big screen later this month Saturday, Jan. 26.

The flick will premier alongside other highly-anticipated films such as To The Stars and Shia LaBeouf’s Honey Boy.
According to Nerdist, this year’s festival will feature 112 films from 33 different countries.
The film stars Zac Efron and Lily Collins. However, Metallica‘s James Hetfield will also have a role in the film as Officer Bob Hayward. The character is a “no-nonsense Utah highway patrol veteran who was the first law enforcement officer to arrest Bundy in 1975 after pulling the killer over and discovering burglary tools in his car, but wisely suspecting much worse,” as previously reported.

Bundy was a serial killer, kidnapper, rapist and burglar who assaulted and murdered several women in the ’70s. He was executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison on Jan. 24, 1989 after confessing to 30 homicides that he committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978, although the true victim count will forever be unknown.
