The 1975‘s Matty Healy has revealed that he would love to team up with Ariana Grande and honestly, we’re here for it.

Just last month The 1975 performed a re-imagined version of Grande’s hit “thank u, next” for their BBC Radio 1 “Live Lounge” session.

Healy says Grande is “the person I see spoken about most” in the intro to the re-imagined cover tune. And she’s “somebody I’ve started to really care about for some reason,” he adds, as noted by SPIN. “She’s had a right old tough time and I like her a lot. I think she’s cool. And she’s got a great voice, and I don’t, so I’m gonna sing one of her songs.”

The cover grabbed the attention of Ariana Grande herself, who retweeted the video with a heart emoji.

We love legends supporting legends.

Healy sat down with the Times Of India where he continued to gush about Grande’s hit single.

“It’s just the best song out at this time. It is also the biggest song at the moment.”

When asked about the potential of a possible collaboration between the two artists, Healy replied: “Yeah, I would love to. She has such an amazing voice.”

Could you imagine Grande and Healy joining forces together on one track? We’re not sure the world is ready for that kind of magic.
