Matty Healy wants to sing one of the 1975’s songs in Simlish

The 1975 are working towards the release of their upcoming album Notes On A Conditional Form but they might be heading towards making music for a different purpose in the future.

Frontman Matty Healy tweeted about wanting to make music for video games and the official account for The Sims followed him back afterwards leading to the musician showing interest in working with them.

It started with Healy saying he wanted to work on video game soundtracks while mentioning any developers should get in touch with their record label Dirty Hit.

Then, The Sims Twitter account followed him leading to this exchange. So, maybe we’ll get to see Healy singing using the Sims’ Simlish language in the near future.

Whether or not they do end up working together remains to be seen but The Sims 4 was released in 2014 with expansion packs still being created. There’s been a new game in the series roughly every five years so we’re about due for a new entry in the franchise and the soundtrack could potentially have found its creator now.

The band’s new album is arriving on May 22 after being delayed several times. The original release day was February 21 and later got pushed to April 24 before again delaying to May.

So far, we’ve received numerous snippets of the album. They’ve released  “People,” “Frail State Of Mind,” “Me & You Together Song,” “The Birthday Party,” “The 1975,” “Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America” and “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)” so far with the latest arriving just last week.

You can check out pre-orders for the upcoming record here.
