The 1975 reveal when “Me & You Together Song” will debut live

The 1975 are set to debut a new song next week on Jan. 16. The song is titled “Me & You Together Song”. Their fourth studio album Notes On A Conditional Form is set to release next month, Feb. 21.

Earlier this week, the 1975’s label Dirty Hit posted that they were looking for couples to appear in a music video for the 1975. There seems to be some connection here, but nothing is confirmed.

Singer Matty Healy and the 1975 both took to Instagram to announce “Me & You Together Song.” The song will premiere at 7 pm on Jan. 16 on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record. The post also says they will be playing it live so we may be treated to a special on-air edition of the new song.

Back in October, Matty Healy spoke with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 about the song and its creation.

“It’s really lovely. It’s sad of course, but it’s really lovely, Healy says. “I wrote it for that film I started writing…but I haven’t done anything about it besides make this. But yeah, this is really exciting at the moment because we’re just kind of like collecting songs that we love and just putting them out.”

“Me & You Together Song” sounds like the perfect song to feature a music video with a bunch of couples, but that’s all speculation.

More the 1975

The 1975 and their label Dirty Hit just announced a change of plans last month. The European tour scheduled in the Spring is now rescheduled. The dates will now take place in October. The reason cited is to allow more time to finish their upcoming album Notes On A Conditional Form, due out Feb. 21.

Read below for the official posts and to see the updated dates.

The 1975 and Dirty Hit took to Instagram to, unfortunately, announce the postponement of some of the European dates for their upcoming tour. The reasoning behind it, however, is a valid one. The 1975 wishes to provide the best performances and product with Notes On A Conditional Form.

Due to the time needed to complete the recording of the upcoming album ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’ we have made the decision to move The 1975’s EU tour from February 2020 to October 2020.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that everyone can make the new shows.

We understand that this will be a cause of upset but rest assured the delay will make for the best shows possible.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you in October. All original tickets remain valid. For all those who cannot make the new dates you will be able to get refunds at your original point of purchase.
