The 1975 announce return to the U.S. with fall tour dates

If you missed the 1975 during their last visit to the U.S. don’t worry, the band will be returning sooner than you think.

Following their stateside stint this spring, the band announced five arena dates kicking off this fall.

The band made the announcement via Twitter this morning. The tweet listed the tour dates on an interesting image reminiscent of their latest album cover.

“// N O R T H A M E R I C A T O U R – R E Q U E S T T I C K E T S // L O V E,” the tweet reads.

The band is touring in support of their recently released chart-topping full-length, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, which dropped late last year.

Aside from the upcoming tour, the band is expected to drop new music ahead of their performance at Reading and Leeds Festival in August.

“I will start putting music out in August but I really don’t know when the whole album will be out / finished,” frontman Matty Healy says in an Instagram screenshot.

Dirty Hit Records boss Jamie Oborne also dropped some news on upcoming music, with an announcement expected sometime soon.

“The record is coming together. We’ve had this recording studio tour bus on the American tour which has been great for productivity…The boys have been constantly working. I can’t say exactly when it will come, there are a few elements coming together, but we will be releasing music before Reading,” says Oborne.

The fall run kicks off in Camden, NJ on Nov. 16. A ticket request period is available now through July 13, with tickets going on public sale July 18. You can put in your ticket request here, and see a full list of dates below.
