Singer Matty Healy and the 1975 both took to Instagram to announce “Me & You Together Song.” The song will premiere at 7 pm on Jan. 16 on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record. The post also says they will be playing it live so we may be treated to a special on-air edition of the new song.

Back in October, Matty Healy spoke with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 about the song and its creation.

“It’s really lovely. It’s sad of course, but it’s really lovely, Healy says. “I wrote it for that film I started writing…but I haven’t done anything about it besides make this. But yeah, this is really exciting at the moment because we’re just kind of like collecting songs that we love and just putting them out.”

“Me & You Together Song” sounds like the perfect song to feature a music video with a bunch of couples, but that’s all speculation.

Unfortunately, we won’t be hearing the whole of Notes On A Conditional Form till April.

The album was originally set to drop next month, but Healy said in an Instagram live that it isn’t quite ready yet.

“It takes like three months or something to physically make a record on vinyl so it comes out on the 24th of April, I think,” Healy says. “Sorry if that’s annoying or whatever.

“For or the sake of a couple of months, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really make any difference.”

He also states that fans should expect a few more tracks to be released before the record makes its debut in April.

“It takes like three months or something to physically make a record on vinyl so it comes out on the 24th of April, I think,” said Healy. “Sorry if that’s annoying or whatever…For the sake of a couple of months, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really make any difference.”
