The Cab fans will “flip” about unreleased songs, Alexander DeLeon says

The Cab are continuing to tease us about their reunion and new music and we just want to hear it already.

Let’s take a step back, because The Cab have been teasing some sort of reunion for weeks.

Last August, Alexander DeLeon replied to a tweet asking him to “BRING BACK THE CAB,” and his reply has us SHOOK.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting more news of the band’s reunion after DeLeon tweeted last month that he had a “weird urge to play with The Cab one more time.”

Then, he responded to the fan’s tweet and drove fans crazy.

Then, in February, DeLeon posted a photo with Alex Marshall, which broke the internet.

“it feels just like it was yesterday…” the caption read.

A few weeks later, he posted a photo of the band with a huge caption about what it means to him.

“in a way @TheCab defines me. what does my band mean to me? well.. for me… it represents hope, courage, camaraderie, and perseverance. i set out to inspire others but as the world would have it.. the people i sang and wrote for every night around the world were the ones who were doing the inspiring. they helped mold who i am today and restored my faith in people. thank you to my brothers i toured the world with. i started this band when i was 14 years old and i am ready to finish what i started. Happy @TheCab day everyone. don’t look at my insta stories unless you want to get bombarded with nostalgia and my favorite pictures from my band days over the last 15 years. i’m not crying you’re crying.”

A few weeks later, he teased that the band recorded new music with “the boys.”

And then, Brian Logan Dales of The Summer Set confirmed the music actually exists.

Listening to new @TheCab songs. What year is it?”

Now, DeLeon is teasing us even more. He tweeted about what the new music means and how hard he’s been working on it.

“haven’t slept in three weeks. i am beyond delirious. writing songs are like raising a bunch of babies. they keep you up all night, stress you out, but you love them more than anything and make the sacrifices that you need to so that they can grow up strong and feel loved. #TheCab,” he wrote.

“It’s definitely not that serious and I’m just being dramatic because I’m exhausted but the songs are really good and you guys are going to flip. Okay goodnight now,” he said in a second tweet.

The Cab called it quits in 2014 after only two full-length albums, and we have to be honest: We miss them.
