The Cure unveil stacked lineup for Pasadena Daydream festival

The Cure have announced that they will be hosting a one-day festival called Pasadena Daydream. The festival will take place in California at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 31.

According to Consequence Of Sound, the festival’s lineup was selected by frontman Robert Smith and features an impressive array of artists. In addition to the Cure’s headlining slot, the band will welcome Pixies, Deftones, Mogwai, Chelsea Wolfe, Throwing Muses, the Twilight Sad, Emma Ruth Rundle, the Joy Formidable and Kaelan Mikla to the stage.

In other the Cure-related news, it was recently revealed that their 2018 Hyde Park concert film will be released this summer.

DirectorTim Pope announced plans for a documentary about the band revolving around their 40th anniversary. Just last month, Pope teased a photo fans speculate is from the film, showing what appears to be a silhouette of Smith.

Additionally, the Cure were recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The band were welcomed by Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor. You can watch Reznor’s speech below.
