He claims that a power line shock left him with second and third degree burns on more than 50 percent of his body. He says one of the metal pipes he was handling made contact with a power line which led to the shock. The injury occurred in New Orleans.

After the incident, he was rushed to the hospital where doctors gave him a 2 percent change of survival. He survived, but had to have several surgeries, skin grafts and an amputation of his right foot.

The incident occurred in March 2018 when the set was transformed to look like Whisky A Go Go, a legendary Hollywood club.

DiVincenti says Netflix, the producers of the movie, which include band members Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Vince Neil are liable for the incident. He is seeking damages including $1.8 million in medical bills. He filed the suit March 1.

DiVincenti says the production team failed to take proper safety precautions. Those include making sure the power lines we de-energized and conducting safety assessments.

The biopic about the band aired on Netflix last Friday. The Dirt is based on the group memoir the band wrote in 2001 of the same name.

The film stars Machine Gun Kelly, Douglas Booth, Daniel Webber and Iwan Rheon as the band members.

In other news, Sixx recently reacted to critics’ negative reviews of the film on Twitter.

“The album is number #1.The fans are going crazy over #TheDirt. The critics hate it,” he wrote on Twitter.
