The Driver Era get pretty “Low” in action-packed new video

The Driver Era sent fans into a frenzy last week by unleashing a cryptic countdown. The band are following it up with a new video for “Low,” and hints have continued to drop.

The brother duo consisting of Rocky and Ross Lynch shared the new video earlier today, continuing with their aforementioned “X” theme.

The video finds the brothers driving around before pulling on skeleton masks to rob a bank. Throughout the clip, “X” imagery glitches across the screen.

The same glitch appeared on the duo’s social media last week with the countdown. The timer ends June 28, and the duo’s premiere partner revealed that’s their upcoming album’s release date.

The brothers also shared the album release date in the “Low” description along with a pre-save link, which you can access here. There, it’s confirmed their debut full-length will feature the track and be titled X.

More on The Driver Era

The duo recently released a new music video for their latest single, “Welcome To The End Of Your Life.”

The genre-defying band previously released singles “Preacher Man,” “Afterglow” and “Low.” Their last single, “Feel You Now,” dropped in March and got its own music video soon after.

“So far, every song we’ve released seems to fit into a different genre than the one we released before it,” Rocky shared in a previous interview with AP. “It branches into that electronic-pop, and then two minutes in, it washes into this Beatles-esque thing.”

When writing, the brothers trust their instincts to “create for the moment,” making “whatever feels right at the time.”

“Sometimes restrictions can be good for creativity,” Ross explains. “But we’re trying not to have any preconceived notions as to what we should create.”

“It just keeps everything fresh,” Rocky continues. “You don’t know what you’re going to get when you’re on our Spotify page, and we really like that.”

The Driver Era are on the latest AP, issue #371, which is available for preorder here or below.
