The Ghost Inside announce London return as only 2020 UK show

The Ghost Inside announced another one-off show for 2020 after revealing to fans on Instagram earlier this year that they’re not ready for a full tour.

The band was in a tragic bus crash in 2015, which claimed the lives of their tour bus driver and passengers in the other vehicle. The band and crew members were hospitalized, with drummer Andrew Tkaczyk losing one of his legs in the horrible accident.

The Ghost Inside played their first show since the accident in July of this year in Los Angeles, selling out tickets in the first five minutes after the announcement. This Wild Life, Trade Wind and Wage War’s Cody Quistad were the opening acts, with The Ghost Inside playing a 19-song setlist.

In August, the band took to Instagram to discuss the future of the metalcore group, touring and one-off shows. The caption reads as follows:

A month and change has gone by since our show in LA. We’ve spent most of that time together working on music and discussing the next chapter of TGI. By no means are we ready physically or mentally to do any touring, but July 13 proved to us that we are much more than capable of overcoming all of the challenges that have been placed in our way, and we are ready to play a few more shows. As the plan for when and where those will be comes together, we will continue to put all our cards on the table. We like to think we are on every part of this journey together with you. Stay tuned as the first couple of announcements will come up quick! TGI now, TGI forever.

More on The Ghost Inside

The band have been working in the studio on a new album, which will be their first since 2014’s Dear Youth. They took to Twitter in August to make the announcement, with A Day To Remember’s Jeremy McKinnon and Fit for an Autopsy’s Will Putney also tagged in the post.

McKinnon co-produced The Ghost Inside’s last album. He has also worked on records for The Devil Wears Prada and Neck Deep, while Putney has been known to work behind the scenes with Every Time I Die and Knocked Loose, among others.

It’s no question why The Ghost Inside would want both of these musicians’ addition to their new work.
