The Ghost Inside unveil first 2020 show announcement

Just a few days ago, The Ghost Inside confirmed their plans to play more live dates beyond their July comeback show, but that didn’t mean they’d be embarking on a full-blown tour.

Now, it looks like the band has made their first announcement in regards to shows in 2020. Check it out below!

In late 2015, the Ghost Inside were involved in a serious bus accident that claimed the lives of their driver and everyone in the other vehicle. Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk lost his leg from the accident, and the rest of the band and crew members were hospitalized in critical condition. The band survived the accident but have faced an arduous road to recovery since then.

The announcement of the “one night” only show marked the band’s first performance in four years, with tickets selling out five minutes after the announcement.

The band performed with opening acts This Wild Life, Trade Wind and Wage War’s Cody Quistad. They played nearly 20 songs during the sold-out gig.

A few days ago, the band took to Instagram to tell fans they plan on playing more shows next year, but they’re just not ready to tour.

“Hey everybody, we’re The Ghost Inside – checking in with you after our show in July. A lot of you are asking the question about what our future is going to hold – we’ve had a lot of long conversations about it, and we feel like the show in July is definitely not the end of our story, but the beginning of a new chapter,” they said. “We are going to try to do a few more shows next year – we’re still working out most of the details on that, but expect to pay attention, and hopefully we will see you somewhere next year… And we’re not going on tour – we’re playing a couple of shows.”

Welp, here it is. A month and change has gone by since our show in LA. We’ve spent most of that time together working on music and discussing the next chapter of TGI. By no means are we ready physically or mentally to do any touring, but July 13 proved to us that we are much more than capable of overcoming all of the challenges that have been placed in our way, and we are ready to play a few more shows. As the plan for when and where those will be comes together, we will continue to put all our cards on the table. We like to think we are on every part of this journey together with you. Stay tuned as the first couple of announcements will come up quick! TGI now, TGI forever.

Now, the band have made their first announcement for 2020, revealing they will be performing at Germany’s Full Force Festival in June.

“The first stop of 2020 that we can share with you will be Full Force Festival in Germany!” the band shared. “This will be our only performance in mainland Europe for the year. When we talked about what places were most important for us to try to get back to at least one more time, Germany was at the top of the list. Our fans there have welcomed us with open arms time after time and always made us feel at home, and Full Force especially marked some major milestones for TGI. When they approached us to play their festival, they totally understood that The Ghost Inside isn’t just showing up to play songs but to share an incredible experience that is much bigger than just the music. So we are beyond excited to team up with Full Force and we’ll see you next summer!”
