The band have been on hiatus since a fatal bus crash left both drivers dead. Additionally, drummer Andrew Tkaczyk lost his leg as a result of the accident.

However, the band never let the accident stop them. Over the past few years, the Ghost Inside have kept fans up-to-date and hopeful in their progress.

Just a few short days ago the band shared a video update showing them recording in the studio. The video ends with a live video of the band from before their accident.

You can watch the teaser below:

Now, the band have taken to Twitter once again to share a ‘Save The Date’ with fans.

The image shows a date of July 13, 2019 and a location of Los Angeles, California.

“Your friends Jonathan, Zachary, James, Andrew, and Christopher kindly request that you Save The Date,” the image says.

It concludes with, “Formal invitation to follow.”

Could this be the band’s return show?!

We’re keeping our fingers crossed as we await that formal invite!

Recently, the band teased their first taste of music since 2015. After a fan inquired about their health progress, the band replied with a photo of Tkaczyk, vocalist Jonathan Vigil and bassist Jim Riley all in the studio.

Back in November 2015, the band were involved in a serious bus accident that claimed the lives of their driver and everyone in the other vehicle. All members of the band and crew survived. Since then, the band has faced an extensive road to recovery, both mentally and physically.

In May, the band shared a statement about the future of The Ghost Inside.

“Spending a week together as bandmates answered the question that has been on all of our minds—yes there is a future for TGI,” the band shares in a Facebook post. “We still aren’t sure exactly what it looks like. It might be one show, it might be a few shows. It could be a new song or a whole new record. Our journey into that future is just beginning, and we will bring everyone that is interested along with us.”
