‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ renewed for second season

The Haunting Of Hill House has officially been renewed for a second season. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the renewal is part of a five to six year pact that the show’s creative visionaries took with Netflix.

That said, the second season of The Haunting Of Hill House will be one of many projects Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy create for the streaming service — And with a payout rumored to be somewhere in the eight-figure range, we can expect to see some great work from the dynamic duo.

“Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy are masterful at creating authentically frightening stories that leave audiences on the edge of their seats, but unable to look away,” Vice President of originals at Netflix Cindy Holland says. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with them on The Haunting series and future projects to come.”

Additionally, the show has since taken to Twitter to tease fans of the installment’s name.

However, according to THR, the upcoming season will likely not pick up where they left off. Instead, the series will introduce and entirely new story with brand-new characters.

Nonetheless, it didn’t take long for fans to correctly guess the direction of the series’ forthcoming season. Now called The Haunting Of Bly Manor, the terrifying show is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
