This week, a new teaser for the upcoming horror movie The Retaliators was released. However, if you blink too fast, you just might miss a few familiar faces in the new teaser.
The first trailer for The Retaliators gave us a quick look at what we can expect from the upcoming horror movie. The film follows a father, played by Michael Lombardi, who is seeking justice after his daughter goes missing. The daughter is suspected to have been abducted by a group of criminals who have notorious reputations.
Now, a follow-up teaser is revealing a bit more of what’s in store. As well, it looks like quite a few familiar faces are making appearances in The Retaliators. The latest teaser includes cameos from Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix and Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody, Zoltan Bathory and Chris Kael who appear in a very violent scene.
As well, Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee makes a cameo in the teaser as a strip club DJ while Escape The Fate’s Craig Mabbitt can be seen turning his head in fear in a thrill-filled scene. However, it’s really no surprise all of these musicians are making an appearance in The Retaliators. The film is produced by Better Noise Films which is an extension of the record label Better Noise Music.
Jacoby Shaddix is officially making his acting debut in The Retaliators as character Brady Quinn.
“When I heard about this film last year, I spoke to the creative team and I felt I had a vehicle to see if I could expand my range as an artist,” he said. “Truly, I couldn’t have imagined how much I enjoyed this experience and can’t wait to find another film in the future.”
Lombardi, who also co-produced the horror film, was unsure about Shaddix at first. However, it didn’t take long for his mind to be changed.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect,” he says. “[I] thought he might be good because he’s a great storyteller with his songs, but I was truly blown away by his performance as an actor. I found Jacoby to be incredibly focused and committed! He was never afraid to jump off that cliff. For example, he and I had a scene together where his character has to slap me, pull my hair and lick my face. Lucky for me we only needed two takes, because he 100 percent went for it. I had a red, smacked, wet face when the director yelled cut. He’s a beast!”
The musicians in The Retaliators cast aren’t the first to make recent on-screen appearances. Earlier this month, we learned that Creed frontman Scott Stapp is set to star as Frank Sinatra in a new Ronald Reagan biopic. As well, two actors have been cast to portray Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in a new Hulu limited series.
Both of The Retaliators trailers are available to watch below.
