The Used, Anthony Green honor Kurt Cobain with acoustic performance

During Emo Nite last evening, the Used teamed up with Anthony Green to honor the late Kurt Cobain on the anniversary of his death. Yesterday marked 25 years since the legend’s passing.

Additionally, Green says the event last evening was the first time he had ever performed with Bert McCracken. That said, their Nirvana covers were enough to bring the audience to tears.

“I am so honored to be singing with Bert for the first time ever,” Green says.“And since we are getting so close to this anniversary where we celebrate the life of Kurt Cobain and the music of Nirvana and because it’s such a huge impact on both of our lives, we decided to sing a couple of songs together.”

Anthony Green and the Used performed Nirvana classics such as “Heart Shaped Box” and “All Apologies” to pay homage to Cobain. You can watch McCracken and Green perform the two songs below.
