The band’s new album is set to arrive tomorrow (April 24). Along the way through their journey towards dropping the record, they’ve revealed several new singles.

So far, we’ve heard “The Lighthouse,” which also features blink-182‘s Mark Hoppus as well as their Travis Barker featuring track “Obvious Blasé.” The Used have also dropped  “Blow Me” featuring FEVER 333’s Jason Aalon Butler,  “Paradise Lost, a poem by John Milton,” “Cathedral Bell” and “Big, Wanna Be.”

Now, we’re getting yet another new song just before the album is arriving.

Speaking with Kerrang about the collab, frontman Bert McCracken says Shomo “jumped at the opportunity and devoured the concept like a wild animal.”

“He even recorded his parts in his green room in NYC right before he went onstage. The result is one of the heaviest songs in The Used catalog. And if you haven’t yet read the short story The Lottery by Shirley Jackson, you’re in for a real treat!”

The Beartooth vocalist also explains his thoughts on the song, saying I got hit up to do it while on tour and I was all in: thankfully I had a recording rig with me. Bert sent me the song, lyrics and concept, and gave me the freedom to do anything I wanted with my part. It was pretty intimidating to lay it down on the road but I’m very happy with how it turned out – and I think everyone is!

“The Lottery” sees the band stirring up some loose and heavy sounds alongside the Beartooth frontman who brings an extra harsh edge to the song. The track closes out with a nasty dissonant breakdown matching up to what some of the heavier hardcore and metalcore bands are capable of today.
