The Word Alive dropping debut EP on vinyl for first time

The Word Alive announced they will be released their debut EP Empire on vinyl for the first time ever. 

The EP was released back in 2009 and contains six tracks.

In honor of the EP’s 10-year anniversary, the reissue will be dropping. It will be available for purchase August 2.

In other news, the band will be touring with Miss May I and both bands will also be performing albums in their entirety along with some additional songs. Miss May I will play through sophomore record Monument, and The Word Alive will play Deceiver.

The bands will be joined by Thousand Below and Afterlife

The tour kicks off in Chicago in July and finishes up in Arizona in the beginning of August.

The Word Alive’s first album, Deceiver, and Miss May I’s Monument both dropped in 2010. You can stream both albums below to get pumped for the shows.

Other The Word Alive news

Earlier this year, the Glitch Mob, Mako and the Word Alive were nominated for a Sports Emmy Award for their contribution on the League Of Legends song “Rise.”

The song and accompanying music video were nominated for the “Outstanding Post-Produced Graphic Design” category.  

The Word Alive vocalist Telle Smith shared the news on his Twitter.
