The Word Alive ‘League Of Legends’ collab nominated for Sports Emmy Award

The Glitch Mob, Mako and the Word Alive have been nominated for a Sports Emmy Award for their contribution on the League Of Legends song “Rise.”

The song and accompanying music video is nominated for the “Outstanding Post-Produced Graphic Design” category.

The Word Alive vocalist Telle Smith shared the news on his Twitter earlier today.

Loved making this song, and the video is incredible,” Smith says. “We’ll be playing it this Spring so come see it live too!”

The music video joins many other nominees for the 40th annual Sports Emmy Awards. According to their Twitter, the Sports Emmy Awards “recognize outstanding achievement in sports television coverage.”

This year’s ceremony will take place on May 30 at Jazz At Lincoln Center in New York City, NY. You can check out a full list of nominees here.

League Of Legends is an online game where players can battle each other in arenas. Players can and are encouraged to join leagues and battle each other in teams.

Every year, there’s a world championship where leagues compete for the title of champion. The winning team will also receive a $1 million championship prize to split between the league members.

In other related news, Smith reveals that he is currently in the process of booking personalized video shoutouts through Cameo.
