The Amity Affliction part ways with guitarist Troy Brady

The Amity Affliction lead guitarist Troy Brady is no longer in the band. In a post on the group's Facebook, Brady made the announcement himself, saying, “It is time for me to step away” and “I’m not ready to go into any of the personal details behind this.” You can read Brady's full statement below:

It’s with deep regret I need to let you all know I will no longer be writing music or performing as part of The Amity Affliction. Myself and Ahren started this band 11 years ago, and spent every second of every day thinking about making the next step. I never dreamed I would see the world through music and make the life long friends that i have made.
But it is time for me to step away.  Although I’m not ready to go into any of the personal details behind this, I want to thank everyone who has supported me during my time in the band especially my family and girlfriend. This decision has been the hardest thing I have ever done.  Through music i have become more enlightened and a better person, I have no regrets with my time in amity as it made me who I am today. Most of all thanks to all of the fans who have made it possible for me to do this, I will never forget it. I wish Ahren, Ryan, Dan and Joel all the best in the future. -Troy

Amity released their fourth full-length album, Let The Ocean Take Me, earlier this year on Roadrunner Records. Watch their latest video for “The Weigh Down” below.
