The Explosion's final album "Bury Me Standing" gets a release date

Chunksaah Records has announced that Bury Me Standing, the oft-delayed final album from the Explosion, will be released on February 14. A pre-order page is here.

The album was originally recorded in 2006 while the band were still a part of the Virgin Records roster; they left the label in early 2007 and shelved the record. It was then scheduled for release in 2008 via Paper + Plastick but was delayed again. The Explosion disbanded shortly after recording Bury Me Standing but have been playing sporadic one-off shows since; they most recently performed with the Bouncing Souls in Asbury Park, New Jersey in December as part of that band's annual Home For The Holidays festivities.
