The metalhead emoji is real

Finland is set to become the first country to launch its own emoji, which, of course, will be a metalhead throwing up the horns, (via MetalSucks). 

The electronic icon will be part of the country’s upcoming Christmas calendar, published by the Ministry For Foreign Affairs.

Alongside the metalhead emoji, the remainder of the collection will feature nods to things that are prominent within Finland. Beginning December 1, those showcased will reportedly be available for one-a-day use, much like an actual Advent calendar.

With metal being such a popular platform within the country, it’s really no surprise that the metalhead emoji is of primary focus.
