The Offspring planning to record and release new album next year

When the Offspring released their new single “Coming For You” earlier this year, many assumed an album would be coming very soon. According to a new interview with Noodles from the Aspen Times, it looks like we might be waiting a bit longer than expected for a new record.

When asked about new music, Noodles states:

“We want to do a record, that’s the plan, but it’s taking forever. … We released this song because we felt good about it immediately. It was one of the first one or two songs we finished, so we were like, ‘If we wait on this it might be another year, year-and-a-half. Why don’t we just put it out and see what happens?”

The story ends with confirmation that the band plans to record and release the new album next year, and cites work on the band's new recording studio as the primary reason for the hold up in new music.
