The Offspring sell entire discography for $35 million

According to Billboard, New York-based label Round Hill Music has acquired the recorded masters of The Offspring's Columbia Records catalogue for a reported total of $35 million. This purchase also comes with, publishing rights to the band's earlier work on Epitaph Records, including their breakout 1994 record Smash. However, Epitaph still retains full ownership of those earlier records.

This acquisition will stand as Round Hill Music's largest purchase to date. The catalogue itself has allegedly produced $3.1 million in net publisher or net label income, and Round Hill believes this catalogue's worth will increase as music streaming services eventually increase their price.
