The Rentals sign to Polyvinl Record Co. for first album in fifteen years

The Rentals have signed to the Polyvinyl Record Co. with plans to release their third studio album (and first new album in fifteen years) sometime in 2014. The group are fronted by Matt Sharp (formerly of Weezer) and also include Jess Wolfe & Holly Laessig (Lucius), Ryen Slegr (Ozma), Lauren Chipman (The Section Quartet) and Patrick Carney (The Black Keys). Sharp and his bandmates produced the ten-track LP and D. Sardy (LCD Soundsystem, Jay-Z) is currently mixing it.
