The video features Hannah Simone, who is on FOX’s sitcom New Girl.

“I wanted to make a video that attempted to visually match the color in the song, ‘Same Air.’ The directors had this trippy idea to tell a story of me falling from space through a beautiful, convoluted earth. I loved the idea but didn’t want to be the only one in the video since at the heart of it, the song is about unity and how we’re all connected,” Bryce Avary, the force behind The Rocket Summer, says in an interview with Idolator. “So I asked my friend, actress Hannah Simone, to see if she’d like to be in the video as well, telling a story of two people from opposite sides of the planet on this similar esoteric journey. She was super into it. Having her in the video really made it more visually stunning. She rules.”
