There’s a company that’ll press your ashes into a vinyl record

What's the soundtrack that best defines your life? Well, it turns out that you can actually keep it playing long after you're gone—by having your ashes turned into a vinyl record, of course.

U.K.-based Andvinyly is offering the chance to press your ashes into a vinyl recording “your loved ones will cherish for generations.”

Seem intimidating? The site explains that if you’re trying to figure out exactly what you’d like your record to be, the options are almost endless. They recommend recording a personal message, sharing your final will or testament, creating your own unique soundtrack, or even simply pressing your ashes to “hear your pops & crackles for the minimal approach.”

According to their site, the basic package, which consists of 30 discs, each with 24 minutes of total audio (12 minutes on each side), goes for a fee of 3,000 Pounds, or just under $4,000. But, in turn, you are providing the sounds to remind people of who you were, bringing a whole new meaning to Fall Out Boy's “Favorite Record.” (You'll literally be the song stuck in your loved ones' heads, played again and again and again. Crazy, right?)

There's even an option to get music written and produced specifically for you, with the option to get your record distributed to “reputable vinyl stores worldwide” as well.

Not really hoping to have your own ashes turned into a vinyl record? No worries—they offer a range of packages, for people, parts of people and pets.

As the site says, this is the ultimate way to “live beyond the groove”—and really, music seems like one of the best ways to be remembered.
