According to Waze, the program helps “alleviate the frustration of navigating around marathon closures or getting stuck in game-day traffic” by allowing program organizers to update the app with road closures and delays.
The app is currently working with 20 partners around the world to help make event-related announcements, including the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series, with the hope of more partners in the future.
