These Hearts part ways with bassist

These Hearts bassist Tyler Rice has announced that he is no longer in the band. You can read a full statement from rice (originally posted to his Facebook) below.

“Life Update:

I don't know if I've actually wrote this on the internet yet but, I am no longer playing shows/touring with These Hearts. It's safe to say the 3 years I spent in the band were some of my best. I made great memories and even greater friends.

Some highlights include:

-Recording and releasing a ton of music and music videos.

-Being featured on TV.

-Seeing the entire country (except for HI, AK, and WA).

-Sharing Christ with others.

-Playing multiple shows and spending countless hours in a van with 5 amazing people who I've grown to love and respect. Ryan Saunders, Kyle Colby, Isaiah Folk, Daryl Van Beek, and Dan Helmen.

I'm currently studying at MSUM where I've changed my major from Music to Elementary and Special Education. I changed my major because I want music to be something I continue to explore and create on my own. I don't want to box in and/or confine my musical experiences to fulfill credits in school. That just ruins what music is to me.”

The band are yet to issue a statement on Rice’s departure. As of now, their official Facebook account still lists him as a member.

These Hearts released their sophomore full-length, Yours To Take, last July on Victory Records. The album is available on iTunes now. You can check out their latest music video for the song “Been Through Hell” below.
