This ‘Harry Potter’-themed bed and breakfast is as magical as it sounds

Still waiting on your invitation letter to Hogwarts? Us too. Instead of simply waiting for it to arrive, you can take a trip to a magical Harry Potter-inspired bed-and-breakfast.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of J.K. Rowling’s first novel in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Llety Cynin, a bed-and-breakfast in South Wales, is giving visitors a magical treat.

The bed-and-breakfast is taking on the wizarding world, hosting Wizarding Tea for guests to get a taste of everything Harry Potter, featuring Gamekeepers Rock Cakes, Aunt Petunia trifles, chocolate frogs, and hot butterbeer. Plus, the teas are served in birdcage stands. (As if Hedwig was actually going to be showing up.)

The tea is served in the properly transformed Common Rooms and Great Halls, and, of course, they have four house tables, each laid out in the house’s individual colors. Guests are seated at their house table upon arrival. Have a robe you'd like to wear? Visitors are encouraged to wear them proudly!

The bed-and-breakfast will celebrate the Harry Potter anniversary throughout the rest of the year. You’ll be seeing us take the hop across the pond ASAP as not to miss this.

Of course, this isn't the only magical Harry Potter experience being offered. You can get sorted into a house, cast spells, study potions and even play Quidditch at a Hogwarts-inspired school at the Château de Jolibert in Bourgougnague, France. Read more about that here!
