Let's face it, we've all played too much Rock Band or Guitar Hero, and who didn't collect Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh cards? This new game is allowing us to combine the best of those worlds!

DropMix, created by Harmonix and Hasbro, allows you to combine something like the vocals of a Fall Out Boy song along with the beat of a Weezer song creating mixes you never thought were possible. If Harmonix sounds familiar, it's the same company that created the classic Rock Band games that we've all spent all-nighters playing.

Not much is known yet exactly how the game will be played with the electronic board along with your smart phone. When a DropMix card is placed on the board, it'll automatically start playing that portion of the song (bass, beat, loop or vocals). The board can read up to five cards at once combining a mixture of your favorite bands.

DropMix gives players a fresh way to combine their favorite artists and songs, find new ones, and create their best ‘drop the mic’ moments,” said Samantha Lomow, senior vice president of Hasbro Brands.

The initial song list shows a great mixture of genres and even includes a few bands in the scene, such as Fall Out Boy and Weezer. Check out the inital song list below!

DropMix offers an entirely new way to discover, experience and interact with music that’s social, fun and competitive. When players place their first cards on the DropMix board this September, when they hear their first mind-blowing mix, they’re going to be completely amazed,” said Steve Janiak, CEO of Harmonix.

The game, hitting stores in September, will come with “an electronic DropMix Board and 60 DropMix Cards,” but more cards will be available in Playlist Packs (16 DropMix cards for $14.99) and Discover Packs (5 DropMix cards for $4.99).
