While this news is already exciting because it means more new music from Tigers Jaw, it's also exciting because it's the debut album from Black Cement Records, a new imprint under Atlantic Records.

Tigers Jaw revealed the news of the new album to NPR's All Songs Considered where they also shared the story behind this debut single.

“Specifically, it deals with the struggle of being someone's support system while dealing with your own anxieties and issues. When you neglect your own mental health by channeling your focus into other things, putting your head down and forcing normalcy into work and relationships, those issues come back stronger when you run out of distractions. Simple, everyday tasks can become significant sources of anxiety.”

spin will be released on May 19 with preorders becoming available tomorrow (3/23). Some of the preorder bundles will include limited edition vinyl along with every edition including a digital download of the new single, “Guardian.”

Tigers Jaw have also announced a headlining tour to support the new album along with Saintseneca and Smidley starting in May. Tickets will be available here.
